Use your monthly Over-the-Counter Benefit to keep the medicine cabinet stocked!
Members of our Community (HMO SNP), Select (HMO), and Select Rx (HMO) Medicare Advantage plans receive a debit card to buy non-prescription medicines and over-the-counter (OTC) health supplies. The dollar amount of your monthly OTC benefit depends on your plan.
- Community (HMO) members can spend up to $60 a month on OTC products.
- Select (HMO) and Select Rx (HMO) can spend up to $40 a month on OTC products
ATTENTION: Use your FamilyCare OTC debit card at Rite Aid, Walgreens, and now at Walmart!
Each month, your card automatically "refills" itself. (Unspent balances do not carry over from the previous month.)
Your OTC card can be used for a wide range of health products including toothpaste, vitamins, incontinence supplies, and first aid. Some products such as deodorant or children's cough and cold medicines, aren't covered. Check this formulary for a complete list of covered OTC items.
