May is National Mental Health Awareness Month. FamilyCare was one of the first health plans in Oregon to integrate physical and mental health and is proud to be a leader in serving that population. Dayna Steringer visited AM/NW with the Executive Director of NAMI Oregon (National Alliance for Mental Illness) to talk about mental illness in Oregon.

Health care system transformation is actively underway in Oregon. The recent passage of SB 1580 by the Oregon Legislature allows the creation of Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs) to better serve Oregon Health Plan members (Medicaid).
