Medicaid Standard Coverage

The Oregon Health Plan offers two health plans, the Standard Plan and the Plus Plan. It is important that you know which plan you have in order to determine what benefits you have. Please refer to your copy of the Coverage Letter. We encourage you to use your preventive benefits and work with your primary care provider to make healthy lifestyle changes and avoid serious illness. Your preventive care benefits include:

• Diagnostic services such as x-rays or laboratory work
• Emergency care
• Primary and specialty care and well-child visits
• Regular check-ups and preventative testing
• Family planning
• Pregnancy and newborn care
• Immunizations (flu and pneumonia vaccines)
• Prescriptions
• Alcohol and drug treatment
• Mammograms (breast x-rays) for women
• Pap smears for women
• Prostate exams for men
• Annual exams
• Quit smoking programs

The following services are not covered:

• Hearing aids and Related Services
• Home Health Services*
• Non-Emergency Medical Transportation
• Occupational Therapy Services
• Physical Therapy Services
• Private Duty Nursing Services*
• Speech and Language Therapy Services
• Some Vision Services

          * Except when related to limited EPIV Services
