Medicaid Plus Coverage

The Oregon Health Plan offers two health plans, the Standard Plan and the Plus Plan. It is important that you know which plan you have in order to determine what benefits you have. The level of coverage (benefit package) you receive is based on your income, age, and physical or mental condition. Please refer to your copy of the Coverage Letter.

OHP Plus is for people who are elderly, sight impaired, disabled, under age 19, pregnant or receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) benefits. The following services are examples of services that are covered by the Plus benefit package:

• Diagnostic services such as x-rays or laboratory work
• Emergency care
• Primary and specialty care and well-child visits
• Regular check-ups and preventative testing
• Family planning
• Pregnancy and newborn care
• Immunizations (flu and pneumonia vaccines)
• Prescriptions
• Alcohol and drug treatment
• Mammograms (breast x-rays) for women
• Pap smears for women
• Prostate exams for men
• Annual exams
• Quit smoking programs
