Find out if you are eligible
You may be eligible if:
Fill out and mail an application to the Social Security Administration.

Receive confirmation from Social Security that you have been approved.
The Social Security Office will notify you in writing if you are approved to receive Low Income Subsidy or "extra help" for Prescription Drug Benefits. Once you receive approval from Social Security, you have 30 days to select a plan with Prescription Drug Coverage.
